About AEB

We are committed to the development of the Spanish banking system and its contribution to economic and social progress.

Who we are

The Spanish Banking Association (AEB) is a professional association open to all Spanish and foreign banks operating in Spain. Although membership is voluntary, in practice most banking institutions present in the country are members of the Association.

Purpose and values

We work to promote the development of the banking sector, facilitate its contribution to the progress of individuals and businesses, and strengthen its ability to adapt to society’s needs.

Governing
Bodies

AEB is governed by the following governing bodies: the General Assembly, made up of all members; the General Council, comprising the President and Board Members; and, as the Association’s highest representative, the President. Here you can find details of the governing bodies.
